How to install wallpaper and non-woven wall murals
Installation of Wallpaper Wall Murals

Preparation

The surface shall be dry, clean and porous. Old paint and wallpaper that is not adhered to the surface must be removed. Spackle if required.

Do not use other glue than the glue included in the package. Itīs especially made for this wallpapers.

Slowly pour the powder into 5-5.5 litres (1.45 Gallons) of water while mixing thoroughly. Let the mixture rest for at least 30 minutes, you can also mix the adhesive the day before you hang the wallpaper and allow it to stand overnight.

Mounting

In order to hang the wallpaper you will need the following tools: a roller or brush, knife, rag, brush and, if necessary, a piece of string with a weight in order to make sure the first row is straight. Spread a generous amount of adhesive (there is enough adhesive for 30 square metres, so you do not need to skimp), evenly across the entire length of wallpaper, it is important that you remember to spread adhesive on the edges of the wallpaper. Do not fold the wallpaper. Mount directly after glue is applied. Hang it to the wall and smooth with a brush, start from the middle and move out toward the edges, try to remove as many bubbles as possible so that any folds and bubbles disappear when the wallpaper stretches out during drying. Any glue marks on the front of the wallpaper can be removed using a rag. Each length of wallpaper has a number and place (see the instructions enclosed in the package). Overlap the next length of wallpaper you hang by 3 mm. When all of the lengths are in place, cut away any excess wallpaper. Wait a day to see the final results. Ready!

Installation of Non-Woven Wall Murals

Preparation

The surface should be dry and clean. Any existing paint or wallpaper that is not firmly attached to the base surface must be removed. Where necessary fill in cracks. Important! A preliminary undercoat of glue should be applied to porous surfaces such as chipboard or spacled wall.

Mixing the glue

Pour one packet of powder slowly into 4 litres of water while whisking well. Repeat the whisking 2-3 times during the 30 minutes it takes for the mixture to swell. One packet is sufficient for an area of 20 m2. Photowall uses Non-Woven glue.

Application

Before putting it on the wall, lay out the wallpaper on the floor to make sure all the sections are in place and to sort them into the order you will hang them in. The tiles are numbered in the mounting order. Tools you will need are: a roller or paintbrush, knife, rag, brush, a plummet or spirit or water level. The first section is the most important. Before applying the first section make a vertical mark one width of the wallpaper from thes starting point. Apply the glue directly onto the wall with a roller or paintbrush. Apply liberally a bare spot will make a bubble. You should apply to an area about the width of two sections. Place the first tile in line with the mark. The tiles is applied edge to edge – there is no overlap. Make sure the patterns line up and that each section is straight. Smooth out with a brush, start from the middle and workoutwards to the edges and try to remove as many bubbles as possible. Any small bubbles and creases will disappear as the glue dries and the photowallstretches into position. You can remove any spots of glue on the walpaper with a rag. When all sections are in place cut off any excess wallpaper. You will need to wait a day to see the full result. Ready!
